 Eagles Dialysis Centre Together
for a Healthy Community
The Vision
Eagles Dialysis Centre [EDC] is a faith motivated community project of Full Gospel Tabernacle [FGT].
EDC is registered as a company limited by guarantee for the purpose of providing haemodialysis treatment at affordable costs
to the Malaysian community, irrespective of race or religion. This is consistent with the Christian mandate for us to be practical
in our faith and to help those who are less fortunate in society.
The
Eagles Dialysis Centre will be located in the heart of Taman Perindustrian UEP, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, and will
be the only sizeable, charitable haemodialysis centre in this part of Selangor State.
The centre will be operated in collaboration with the National Kidney Foundation [NKF] of Malaysia and in
this regard, on 3 November 2004.
In line with this vision we
desire to construct a building to house EDC together with a Sports Complex and Youth Centre. The total building cost is estimated
at RM5.0M and the initial set-up costs for EDC’s operations at RM1.5M.

The Need
Every year more than 1,500 Malaysians die from kidney disease and the number of people suffering from kidney
failure increases by c. 2,400 cases.
Estimates show that there
are currently 30,000 people who require dialysis treatment whilst Malaysian Ministry of Health reports that only 8,370 patients
are under government care. It is estimated that 50% of those requiring dialysis treatment either cannot afford it, or are
denied access to it.
The Objectives
EDC’s 3-fold objectives are:
to enable those in lower income groups who are suffering from kidney disease to obtain quality kidney dialysis treatment
at a well-equipped, professionally-staffed, subsidised haemodialysis centre.
to enhance the quality of life of those suffering from kidney disease by extending social and welfare support, and by
providing counselling for them and their families.
to demonstrate God’s love in a meaningful and practical manner, by reaching out to those who are needy in the
community.
